It’s kind of funny how everything feels so much bigger when you’re a child. In my memory, this movie was longer, more epic; it had a lot more going on in it than it actually does. At the same time, though, I can’t dissociate how I feel about it now from how I felt about it as a 7-year-old. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Next up: Scrooged, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street and The Muppets Christmas Carol (which I didn’t actually get to watch as a child). It’s the twelve days of nostalgia Christmas films.
